Vrinda Gupta wanted to study finance and accounts but with mixed clarity. After using steering, she shares the experience with her dad.

Dear Dad
 

There was a time when we had long discussions in the family on what I should study in my college. We had some common expectations but the subjects or college stream was not clear.

I wanted to study accounts and finances because I always loved Mathematics and I like how Monika shares stories of their audit and finance work in ABC Corp. 

However there was a certain disconnect, that internal conflict of how I could apply those learnings into the worldly stories that deeply move me. For example when we read stories of disappearing birds from our cities, or the changes in migratory birds patterns in the recent years because of the climate changes, and so on.

I felt like I had the car but not the steering.

Steering gave me this chance to find the connect—to find the paths. And this is how it looks—the possibilities in what I want to learn, and how it applies to what I wanted to do in the world. I feel as if I have rediscovered myself.
 
I am at more peace now—not because I have a better career option but because I have decided to study what I should—for my own vision and my dreams. I am on steering now.
