Those who are on steering are writing letters to their loved ones.
Kismet Sinha saw herself among the birds. After using steering, she shares the experience with her mother.
Hope you are back from Chennai, and I am sure you enjoyed your time there.
Mom, do you remember Capt. Diwakar—my friend Sneha’s dad in Delhi? I saw a story in a magazine that he won an award in Germany for their research on birds. Captain is a guest lecturer in Cornell Labs for their undergraduate program in birds study.
I just wrote an email to captain that I want to study about birds—their migratory patterns, rare birds across the continents but I had a lot of confusion of what exactly to study. For example there are research products for history, health, feed and diet, their being in the food chain, birds’ role in forests, in water bodies, and in the sky, and a lot more.
I was also not sure whether I want to apply technology to birds’ study, or get into the on-field research, or find the research labs. the field is so vast, and this was the time I found my steering.
Steering made me think really deep—what concerns me in the world, what I wanted to do, what I wanted to study. For example when I told them that I wanted to study birds, they explored so many new dimensions—the taxonomy of birds’ health and life and lifecycle.
I have found my Alfie (see the video below).
I will let you know when I hear from Captain Diwakar. Yes, I am taking care of myself. Talk soon.
